Project S.S.H.
What is Project S.S.H. and what was my role in its creation?
Project S.S.H. stands for See no evil Speak no evil and Hear no evil, and is an FPS arena shooter based on the three senses of sight, smell, and sound. This project was the predecessor of Helix and was developed in unity during my last year in university. During the game, after you kill an enemy, you can spend points to gain new abilities that will give you the edge over the opponents. The player who has the most kills wins.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Used blueprint scripting to create all of the mechanics, abilities, multiplayer and weapon logic and movements in the game.
-
Brainstormed and designed each ability and statistic behind all three characters a
-
Designed and implemented the game-mode.
-
Acted as the team leader, managing all aspects of workflow and tasks.
-
Developed the project's core design.
Why create Project S.S.H.?
Project S.S.H. has been an idea I have had years prior when I started becoming interested in game development. So I chose to pursue it as my team project in University.
Game Pitch
Project S.S.H. was developed by a team of 6, including me as the team lead and programmer, another programmer, an environment artist, a game balancer, and an animator. During our unit, we were tasked to create a game from a proposed idea that was approved by our lecturers. Project SSH was developed in unity using Photon as its network core and C# as its development langauge. A playable version of Project S.S.H. is available to download below.
